Your Masculinity Rules Workshop in Australia

The experience of being a man is constantly changing and evolving, so do the old rules of masculinity we’ve inherited still apply or do men need to rewrite the rule book?

Glen Poole of Helping Men is heading for Australia where he’ll be working with existing men’s groups to deliver a one-day workshop called Your Masculinity Rules.

The course is designed for men who want to develop a deeper awareness and understanding of themselves. Its aim is to help participants to explore what it means to be a man in the 21stcentury and decide for themselves what their "masculinity rules" are.

Glen says: "All men have a set of masculinity rules that shape our daily experience of being a man. Yet few of us have made ourselves aware of these rules, let alone questioned where they come from and whether they are helping or hindering us in our daily lives.

"This course won't tell you how you should live your life, what it will do is provide a unique opportunity to explore what it means to be a man in the 21st century and decide for yourself what
 Your Masculinity Rules are."

This course may be of interest to you if you want to:

  • Deepen your knowledge of masculinity and femininity
  • Improve your understanding of male psychology
  • Develop your emotional intelligence
  • Improve your relationships with men and women
  • Enjoy the supportive environment of group work
  • Benefit from one-to-one coaching
  • Meet some great men who are committed to personal growth

The workshop involves facilitated group work, one-to-one coaching, experiential exercises, theoretical discussion and visualisation exercises covering the following themes:
  • What Is Masculinity?
  • Masculine/Feminine strengths and weakness
  • Evolving Masculinity
  • Masculinity in relationship with men and women
  • Masculinity in crisis
  • Integrating the masculine and the feminine
  • Identifying your masculinity rules

WHO SHOULD TAKE PART?

This course is primarily designed for men who have some experience of personal development work such as coaching, counselling or group work, and an interest in developing their understanding of their own masculinity.
It is an educational and experiential programme that will be of great benefit to men who are happy taking personal responsibility for their own growth and development. The course is not therapy and it is not an alternative to therapy.
